1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 279
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 279 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:
4 "Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended by
5 changing Section 50-65 as follows:
6 (30 ILCS 500/50-65)
7 Sec. 50-65. Contractor suspension. Any contractor may
8 be suspended for violation of this Code or any contractor may
9 be suspended for failure to conform to specifications or
10 terms of delivery. Suspension shall be for cause and may be
11 for a period of up to 5 years at the discretion of the
12 applicable chief procurement officer. Contractors may be
13 debarred in accordance with rules promulgated by the chief
14 procurement officer or as otherwise provided by law.
