1 AN ACT to amend the Illinois Open Land Trust Act by
2 changing Section 20.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Illinois Open Land Trust Act is amended
6 by changing Section 20 as follows:
7 (525 ILCS 33/20)
8 Sec. 20. Illinois Open Land Trust Program. The
9 Department of Natural Resources shall develop and administer
10 the Illinois Open Land Trust Program. The purpose of the
11 program is to acquire real property, or conservation
12 easements for natural areas, from willing sellers for
13 conservation and recreation purposes. The land shall be
14 chosen because it will preserve and enhance this State's
15 Illinois' natural environment, create a system of open spaces
16 and natural lands, and improve the quality of life and
17 provide recreation opportunities for citizens of this State
18 now and in the future.
