1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5685
2 AMENDMENT NO. . Amend House Bill 5685 on page 1, by
3 replacing lines 12 through 28 with the following:
4 "is created, consisting of 8 members of the General Assembly
5 who serve by virtue of their office and are appointed as
6 follows:
7 (1) 2 Representatives appointed by the Speaker of
8 the House of Representatives.
9 (2) 2 Representatives appointed by the Minority
10 Leader of the House of Representatives.
11 (3) 2 Senators appointed by the President of the
12 Senate.
13 (4) 2 Senators appointed by the Minority Leader of
14 the Senate.
15 Members serve at the pleasure of their appointing
16 authority. Annually, the members must select 2 from among
17 themselves to serve as co-chairs of the Panel. Members
18 receive no compensation for their service on the Panel.".
