House Sponsors: BELLOCK-MATHIAS. Short description: VEH CD-SCHOOL BUS-STROBE-TAPE Synopsis of Bill as introduced: Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that the strobe lamp on any school bus equipped with one must be lighted any time the bus is stopping or stopped for loading or discharging pupils and any time pupils are on the bus. Provides that on and after August 1, 2002, the outside rear perimeter (as well as the emergency exits) of any school bus must be outlined with yellow reflective tape or decal. Effective immediately.
