    AN ACT making appropriations.

    Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
represented in the General Assembly:

                          ARTICLE 1

    Section  1.  The  following  named  amounts,  or  so much
thereof as may be necessary, respectively,  for  the  objects
and  purposes  hereinafter  named,  are appropriated from the
General Revenue Fund to the Industrial Commission:

  For Personal Services:

  For Employee Retirement Contributions

    Section  2.  In  addition  to  the   amounts   heretofore
appropriated,  the following named amount, or so much thereof
as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
Fund to the Industrial Commission for the project hereinafter
enumerated:
                        PEORIA OFFICE
For rent, staffing and equipment to operate
  an office in Peoria................................ $28,300

    Section 3.  The amount of $34,400, or so much thereof  as
may  be  necessary,  is appropriated from the General Revenue
Fund  to  the  Industrial   Commission   for   printing   and
distribution  of  Workers'  Compensation handbooks containing
information as to the rights and obligations of employers.

    Section 4.  The amount of $72,000, or so much thereof  as
may  be  necessary,  is appropriated from the General Revenue
Fund to the Industrial Commission for the implementation  and
operation of an accident reporting system.

    Section 5.  The sum of $26,800, or so much thereof as may
be  necessary,  is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund
to the Industrial Commission for all  costs  associated  with
the  establishment and operation of a satellite office in the
Metro East area.

    Section 6.  The sum of $9,723,200, or so much thereof  as
may   be  necessary,  is  appropriated  from  the  Industrial
Commission Operations Fund to the Industrial  Commission  for
administrative expenses.

    Section  99.   Effective  date.  This Act takes effect on
July 1, 2003.
