Biography: Sen. Plummer was sworn into the 101st Illinois General Assembly on Jan. 9, 2019. He lives with his wife, Shannon and daughter, Audrey, in Edwardsville. He serves as Vice President of R.P. Lumber, a family owned and operated business with nearly 70 locations throughout Illinois and Missouri. Sen. Plummer is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and first answered the call to serve when he served as an intelligence officer in the United States Navy. The 54th Senate District is located on the Illinois side of the Greater St. Louis metropolitan area and stretches east to Effingham. The district includes all or portions of Bond, Clinton, Effingham, Fayette, Madison, Marion, St. Clair, and Washington Counties.
