SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

50 ILCS 705/7.2 new

Amends the Illinois Police Training Act. Provides that the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board shall adopt rules to establish an annual basic training program schedule that provides for the monthly enrollment of recruits into basic training schools. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning government.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Illinois Police Training Act is amended by adding Section 7.2 as follows:

(50 ILCS 705/7.2 new)

Sec. 7.2. Annual scheduling of basic training program. The Board shall adopt rules to establish an annual basic training program schedule that provides for the monthly enrollment of recruits into basic training schools.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
