| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Adela (Salas) Korecki of Algonquin, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on March 26, 2025; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Adela Korecki, the daughter of Abraham Salas and | ||||||
| 6 | Fodda Salas, was born in Cordoba, Argentina; she married | ||||||
| 7 | Eduardo Korecki in 1960; and | ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Adela Korecki was the owner of the popular | ||||||
| 9 | Edella's Restaurant in Algonquin from 1993 to 2006; and | ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Adela Korecki faithfully attended St. Margaret | ||||||
| 11 | Mary Catholic Church, and she never missed a Midnight Mass | ||||||
| 12 | before Christmas; and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Adela Korecki was an avid cook who made every | ||||||
| 14 | meal from scratch; she loved working in her garden, growing | ||||||
| 15 | tomatoes and pumpkins in her backyard with her husband and | ||||||
| 16 | filling her home with beautiful plants and flowers; and | ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Adela Korecki adored and doted on her | ||||||
| 18 | grandchildren and great-grandchild; and | ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Adela Korecki was preceded in death by her | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | parents, four sisters, and four brothers; and | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, Adela Korecki was survived by her husband of 65 | ||||||
| 3 | years, Eduardo; her children, Alexandra (Sim) Wilford, | ||||||
| 4 | Elisabeth Ambroiggio, and Natasha (Robert McCoppin) Korecki; | ||||||
| 5 | five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and her sisters, | ||||||
| 6 | Matilde (the late Arquimedes) Romero and Isabel (the late | ||||||
| 7 | Nick) Nikolic; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 10 | Adela (Salas) Korecki and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 11 | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
| 12 | further | ||||||
| 13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 14 | presented to the family of Adela Korecki as an expression of | ||||||
| 15 | our deepest sympathy. | ||||||
