| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Keywan Cordell Glenn Sr.; and | ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn was born to Daphine Glenn and James | ||||||
| 5 | White on August 20, 1979; he graduated from Austin High School | ||||||
| 6 | in 1988; and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn previously worked for multiple | ||||||
| 8 | owner-operated trucking companies and the Chicago Transit | ||||||
| 9 | Authority (CTA); at the time of his passing, he was employed as | ||||||
| 10 | a service clerk for the United States Postal Service, where he | ||||||
| 11 | was training to become a freight driver; and | ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn was a ten-year member of Legendary | ||||||
| 13 | Legends M.C., where he served as the head sergeant at arms and | ||||||
| 14 | rode over 5,000 miles with the motorcycle club; and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn loved barbecuing and riding | ||||||
| 16 | Harley-Davidson motorcycles; and | ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn, better known as "China Man", was a | ||||||
| 18 | devoted and loving father with a big heart who shared his love | ||||||
| 19 | and life lessons with everyone; he will be especially | ||||||
| 20 | remembered as someone who made the world a better place | ||||||

| 1 | through his patience and unwavering willingness to forgive; | ||||||
| 2 | and | ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Keywan Glenn was the fiance of Schanel Shaw; the | ||||||
| 4 | father of Kayla Glenn, Savannah Glenn, Kailani Glenn, Amara | ||||||
| 5 | Shaw-Glenn, and Keywan Lontee Glenn Jr.; the father figure of | ||||||
| 6 | Chloe Shaw, Antwaushea Sago, Gerald Smiter, and Zaria Blaxton; | ||||||
| 7 | the brother of Talia White, Samora Brawner, Shauniqua Brawner, | ||||||
| 8 | and Darrien White; the grandson of Virginia Glenn; the | ||||||
| 9 | great-nephew of Betty; the nephew of Brenda Glenn and Darryl | ||||||
| 10 | Glenn; and a relative and friend to many; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 13 | Keywan Cordell Glenn Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 14 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 15 | further | ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to the family of Keywan Glenn as an expression of our | ||||||
| 18 | deepest sympathy. | ||||||
