| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Jannis Deanne "Janni" Favus, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on April 10, 2025; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Janni Favus, the daughter of Dane and Delores | ||||||
| 6 | Harris, was born on August 21, 1946; she earned her master's | ||||||
| 7 | degree in education from Illinois State University; and | ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Janni Favus was a beloved and respected educator, | ||||||
| 9 | teaching Head Start, Kindergarten, and Reading Recovery in | ||||||
| 10 | Peoria and Bloomington; she remained in touch with many of her | ||||||
| 11 | former students for the rest of her life; and | ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Janni Favus was a dear friend to many and an | ||||||
| 13 | exceptionally kind individual who always put others first; and | ||||||
| 14 | WHEREAS, Janni Favus was preceded in death by her parents; | ||||||
| 15 | and | ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Janni Favus is survived by her husband, Mitchell; | ||||||
| 17 | her son, Josh; her daughter-in-law, Nicole; and many friends; | ||||||
| 18 | therefore, be it | ||||||
| 19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||

| 1 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 2 | Jannis Deanne "Janni" Favus and extend our sincere condolences | ||||||
| 3 | to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be | ||||||
| 4 | it further | ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 6 | presented to the family of Janni Favus as an expression of our | ||||||
| 7 | deepest sympathy. | ||||||
