| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Ray Edward "Bud" Bebout of Harrisburg, | ||||||
| 4 | who passed away on January 26, 2025; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Ray Bebout was born in Pope County to Burl and | ||||||
| 6 | Cora (Hicks) Bebout on August 8, 1938; he served his country | ||||||
| 7 | honorably in the United States Army while stationed at Ft. Sam | ||||||
| 8 | Houston, Texas; he married Mildred Gene Turnage on October 1, | ||||||
| 9 | 1958; and | ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Ray Bebout worked as a coal miner for the Sahara | ||||||
| 11 | Coal Company and loved working on small engines; and | ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Ray Bebout was a member of Ledford Baptist | ||||||
| 13 | Church; he was an avid trap shooter and won numerous | ||||||
| 14 | competitions; he also enjoyed hunting and fishing; he was a | ||||||
| 15 | loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, | ||||||
| 16 | great-grandfather, and uncle; and | ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Ray Bebout was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
| 18 | Mildred; his parents; and ten siblings; and | ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Ray Bebout is survived by his daughter, Debbie | ||||||
| 20 | (Jim) Etienne; his grandchildren, Bridgette (Terry) Mott, | ||||||

| 1 | Darian Etienne, and Kirstynn (A.J.) Mercado; his | ||||||
| 2 | great-grandchildren, Addy and Avery Mott; and several nieces | ||||||
| 3 | and nephews; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 6 | Ray Edward "Bud" Bebout of Harrisburg and extend our sincere | ||||||
| 7 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
| 8 | him; and be it further | ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to the family of Ray Bebout of Harrisburg as an | ||||||
| 11 | expression of our deepest sympathy. | ||||||
