SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William Jeffrey "Jeff" Minor of Eldorado, who passed away on April 28, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was born to John William and Irene (Gates) Minor O'Neal in Eldorado on May 15, 1955; he married Pandora Pate on November 15, 1974; and

WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was a precinct committeeman and a member of the Eldorado City Council, where he served as police and fire commissioner from 2003 until his passing; and

WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was a member of Eldorado First United Methodist Church, where he served on the Building Committee; and

WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was the longtime scorekeeper for Eldorado High School Athletics; and

WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was known for truly and deeply loving his friends and family; and

WHEREAS, Jeff Minor was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Jeff Minor is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pandora; his daughters, Lexie (Kyle) Barton and Laura (Nick) Zurliene; five grandchildren; his brother, Jon (Shelia) Minor; his sisters, Jonene Hall, Jolene Sachel, Stephanie Pool, and Jennifer (Chad) Moore; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William Jeffrey "Jeff" Minor and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jeff Minor as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
