HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Joellen
4K. "Jo" Dooley of Waukegan, who passed away on April 15, 2025;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Jo Dooley was born to Art and Marion Dooley on
7February 12, 1953; she attended St. Patrick's School in
8Wadsworth, Warren Township High School in Gurnee, and Illinois
9State University, where she earned a degree in music
10performance; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Jo Dooley was the long-time owner of A Major
12Music, and she supported hundreds of musicians in their
13pursuit of music as a hobby or profession; she was celebrated
14by many at "Jo's Jamboree" one year ago; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Jo Dooley was loving daughter, a great sister,
16and a true and loyal friend to so many; she will especially be
17remembered for her kindness and her brilliant and wicked sense
18of humor; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jo Dooley was preceded in death by her parents;
20her beloved dog, Cain; and some of her dearest friends; and

1    WHEREAS, Jo Dooley Joellen is survived by her sister,
2Colleen (Scott) Pacatte; her nephew, Blair (Liz) Pacatte; and
3her niece, Tara (Jarrod) Schnell; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
5HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
6we mourn the passing of Joellen K. "Jo" Dooley and extend our
7sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
8and loved her; and be it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Jo Dooley as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
