| 1 | | HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION

| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Marine Corps League are combat |
| 3 | | and peacetime veterans from World War II to the present; and
|
| 4 | | WHEREAS, The Marine Corps League is active throughout the |
| 5 | | State of Illinois in various patriotic activities, including |
| 6 | | parades and burial of deceased veterans, scouting, assisting |
| 7 | | senior citizens, supporting the active duty military, |
| 8 | | assisting the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program, and |
| 9 | | much more; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, The Marine Corps League provides Illinois with a |
| 11 | | valuable veteran footprint, promoting patriotism, honor, |
| 12 | | commitment, and an inspiration of Semper Fidelis for all |
| 13 | | citizens within the Great State of Illinois; therefore, be it
|
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 15 | | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 16 | | SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that we declare June 5 through June |
| 17 | | 8, 2025 as Illinois Marine Corps League Days in the State of |
| 18 | | Illinois; and be it further

| 19 | | RESOLVED, That we urge all citizens to recognize the good |
| 20 | | works of this fine organization, with gratitude to the members |
| 21 | | of the Marine Corps who have served. |
