| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to commend Christine Hammond, Ph.D. on | ||||||
| 4 | the successful conclusion of her tenure as interim president | ||||||
| 5 | of the College of DuPage; and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Under Dr. Hammond's leadership, the college | ||||||
| 7 | advanced the completion of Phase II of its Student Services | ||||||
| 8 | Center Renovation Project, an initiative designed to | ||||||
| 9 | streamline access to vital student resources and provide | ||||||
| 10 | enhanced student support; and | ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Dr. Hammond spearheaded the College of DuPage's | ||||||
| 12 | inaugural membership with the Alliance for Innovation and | ||||||
| 13 | Transformation, a strategic move that has strengthened | ||||||
| 14 | cross-institutional collaboration and elevated the college's | ||||||
| 15 | standing as a flagship institution in Illinois and beyond; and | ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Dr. Hammond played a key role in shaping the | ||||||
| 17 | college's planning and strategic direction for spring | ||||||
| 18 | enrollment, resulting in a significant increase in both | ||||||
| 19 | full-time equivalent (FTE) and dual credit student enrollment; | ||||||
| 20 | and | ||||||
| 21 | WHEREAS, Dr. Hammond revitalized several of the College of | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | DuPage's strategic plans, laying the foundation for future | ||||||
| 2 | success; and | ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Dr. Hammond enhanced the college's visibility and | ||||||
| 4 | influence through active participation in the Illinois | ||||||
| 5 | Community College Trustees Association (ICCTA) and the | ||||||
| 6 | American Association of Community Colleges (AACC); and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Dr. Hammond led the recruitment of new vice | ||||||
| 8 | presidents for Academic Affairs and Student Services; | ||||||
| 9 | therefore, be it | ||||||
| 10 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 11 | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 12 | we commend Christine Hammond, Ph.D. for her exceptional | ||||||
| 13 | service as interim president of the College of DuPage, and we | ||||||
| 14 | wish her all the best in her future endeavors; and be it | ||||||
| 15 | further | ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to Dr. Hammond as a symbol of our respect and esteem. | ||||||
