| 2 | | WHEREAS, During the 103rd General Assembly, House Joint |
| 3 | | Resolution 18 created the Task Force on Black Immigrants, |
| 4 | | which was charged with the task of studying the state of Black |
| 5 | | immigrants in Illinois and providing recommendations on how to |
| 6 | | assist them; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The Task Force on Black Immigrants was to report |
| 8 | | its findings and recommendations to the General Assembly by |
| 9 | | December 31, 2024; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, The Task Force on Black Immigrants needs |
| 11 | | additional time to complete its work; therefore, be it
|
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 13 | | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 14 | | SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Task Force on Black |
| 15 | | Immigrants shall report its findings and recommendations to |
| 16 | | the General Assembly as required by House Joint Resolution 18 |
| 17 | | of the 103rd General Assembly no later than December 31, 2025; |
| 18 | | and be it further
|
| 19 | | RESOLVED, That with this extension, the Task Force on |
| 20 | | Black Immigrants shall continue to operate as provided under |
| 21 | | House Joint Resolution 18 of the 103rd General Assembly. |
