| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Arrow Shed, LLC on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of the 80th anniversary of its founding; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Arrow Shed formed on June 6, 1945 under the name | ||||||
| 6 | Arrow Metal Products, and it became the first commercial coil | ||||||
| 7 | coater in United States history; the company expanded its | ||||||
| 8 | productions by introducing aluminum awnings, patio covers, and | ||||||
| 9 | canopies in 1951; and | ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Arrow Shed expanded its distribution and added an | ||||||
| 11 | additional facility in Fontana, California a decade later; and | ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Arrow Shed introduced high volume products, | ||||||
| 13 | including metal sheds and shelving for mass merchants in 1962; | ||||||
| 14 | and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Arrow Shed rebranded itself from Arrow Metal | ||||||
| 16 | Products to Arrow Group Industry Facilities on October 21, | ||||||
| 17 | 1969, and its customer base began to change from mass | ||||||
| 18 | merchants to rational home centers and co-op membership | ||||||
| 19 | groups, including ACE Hardware, The Home Depot, and Lowes; and | ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Arrow Shed saw several key developments during | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | the 1980s; the company was acquired by the investment group | ||||||
| 2 | Dyson-Kissner-Moran in 1981, developed key customer | ||||||
| 3 | relationships with The Home Depot, Lowes, and Sears, developed | ||||||
| 4 | vinyl-coated steel, and relocated its engineering and | ||||||
| 5 | fabrication development to Breese; and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Arrow Shed adopted its current name, Arrow Shed, | ||||||
| 7 | LLC, in 2011; and | ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Arrow Shed has expanded its business partnerships | ||||||
| 9 | and continues to provide metal sheds, garages, and accessories | ||||||
| 10 | to customers all over the country; and | ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Arrow Shed's 80th anniversary celebration will be | ||||||
| 12 | held on April 30, 2025; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 13 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 14 | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 15 | we congratulate Arrow Shed, LLC on the 80th anniversary of its | ||||||
| 16 | founding, and we wish it many more successful years; and be it | ||||||
| 17 | further | ||||||
| 18 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 19 | presented to Arrow Shed as a symbol of our respect and esteem. | ||||||
