SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jack Douglas Brinkoetter of Mt. Zion, who passed away on January 5, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Jack Brinkoetter was born in Decatur to Theodore and Jessica (Siesenop) Brinkoetter on April 23, 2014; he attended Mt. Zion Intermediate School, where he was active in football and basketball; he also participated in gymnastics and was a very fast runner; and

WHEREAS, Jack Brinkoetter enjoyed dancing and was described as having the best moves while being the life of the party; he was known for his sense of humor and sharing jokes with family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Jack Brinkoetter had a passion for hunting and fishing, especially with his father and Uncle John; and

WHEREAS, Jack Brinkoetter was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Glenn Siesenop; his paternal grandfather, Theodore E. Brinkoetter; and his cousin, Jason Brinkoetter; and

WHEREAS, Jack Brinkoetter is survived by his parents; his brother, Jett Brinkoetter; his maternal grandmother, Jettie Siesenop (Glen Calhoun); his paternal grandmother, Linda Mitchell; his paternal step-grandmother, Barb Brinkoetter; his paternal great-grandmother, Lorraine (Jack) Barr; his paternal great-grandfather, Douglas Theroff; his aunts and uncles, Derrick (Beth), Andy (Kerry), Mia (Russ), Jamie, Rhianna (Adam), Tara (Tom), Timmy, Taylor (Michael), and Torie (Nathan); and many cousins and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jack Douglas Brinkoetter and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jack Brinkoetter as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
