| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Ryan Whitehouse of Normal, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on September 24, 2025; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Ryan Whitehouse was raised in a farming community | ||||||
| 6 | and dedicated his life to agriculture and public service, | ||||||
| 7 | serving as an advocate for farmers in Bloomington-Normal and | ||||||
| 8 | the State of Illinois; he worked tirelessly to ensure that | ||||||
| 9 | rural voices were heard in Springfield and Washington, D.C. | ||||||
| 10 | alike; and | ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Through his work with the Illinois Farm Bureau | ||||||
| 12 | and in his many roles supporting agriculture, Ryan Whitehouse | ||||||
| 13 | became a trusted leader and advisor known for his deep | ||||||
| 14 | knowledge, collaborative spirit, and ability to bridge divides | ||||||
| 15 | for the good of farmers and rural communities; and | ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Beyond his professional accomplishments, Ryan | ||||||
| 17 | Whitehouse was a man of strong character, compassion, and good | ||||||
| 18 | humor who was noted for his ability to make those around him | ||||||
| 19 | feel valued and respected; and | ||||||
| 20 | WHEREAS, Ryan Whitehouse was a deeply devoted family man, | ||||||
| 21 | cherishing his role as an uncle and godfather above all else, | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | and a true friend whose life exemplified the very best of | ||||||
| 2 | service and leadership; and | ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Ryan Whitehouse was a committed son, brother, | ||||||
| 4 | uncle, friend, and colleague who will be remembered by all who | ||||||
| 5 | knew him for his kindness, humility, and unwavering | ||||||
| 6 | generosity; and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Ryan Whitehouse is survived by his mother, | ||||||
| 8 | Michelle; his siblings, Mike, Mindy, Wayne, and Craig; his | ||||||
| 9 | niece and nephews; his goddaughter, Avery Ummel; his uncle, | ||||||
| 10 | Bill Marc; and many cousins; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 12 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 13 | Ryan Whitehouse and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
| 14 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 15 | further | ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to the family of Ryan Whitehouse as an expression of | ||||||
| 18 | our deepest sympathy. | ||||||
