| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Marvin Eugene McClure of Macomb, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on September 24, 2025; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Marvin McClure was born to Sherod and Bessie | ||||||
| 6 | Bolding McClure in Salem, Indiana on April 30, 1939; he | ||||||
| 7 | married Gloria Rodarmel in Alfordsville, Indiana on December | ||||||
| 8 | 17, 1961; and | ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Marvin McClure served in the United States Army, | ||||||
| 10 | and he worked as a missile systems instructor for the U.S. Army | ||||||
| 11 | for 24 years; and | ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Marvin McClure resided in Macomb for the last 20 | ||||||
| 13 | years, where he was a member of Wesley United Methodist | ||||||
| 14 | Church; and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Marvin McClure enjoyed woodworking and doing | ||||||
| 16 | mechanical work on cars; he was also a fan of college and | ||||||
| 17 | professional football; and | ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Marvin McClure was preceded in death by his | ||||||
| 19 | parents; his son, Kevin McClure; his grandson, Kevin "Zeke" | ||||||
| 20 | McClure; and Vivian Brewer; and | ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Marvin McClure is survived by his wife of 63 | ||||||
| 2 | years, Gloria; his children, Kent (Jackie) McClure and | ||||||
| 3 | Kimberley (Jim) McClure Sanders; five grandchildren; seven | ||||||
| 4 | great-grandchildren; his sisters, Shirley Gillenwater and | ||||||
| 5 | Wanda Marble; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 8 | Marvin Eugene McClure and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
| 9 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
| 10 | further | ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 12 | presented to the family of Marvin McClure as an expression of | ||||||
| 13 | our deepest sympathy. | ||||||
