| 1 | HOUSE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives wish to congratulate Mark Schneidewind on the | ||||||
| 4 | occasion of his retirement as Will County Farm Bureau Manager; | ||||||
| 5 | and | ||||||
| 6 | WHEREAS, Mark Schneidewind joined the Will County Farm | ||||||
| 7 | Bureau as manager in August of 1991; previously, he managed | ||||||
| 8 | the Carroll County Farm Bureau until March of 1988 and the Rock | ||||||
| 9 | Island County Farm Bureau until September of 1991; and | ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Mark Schneidewind enjoyed working with local | ||||||
| 11 | governments and legislators, seeing it as an opportunity to | ||||||
| 12 | carry the Will County Farm Bureau message to the community; he | ||||||
| 13 | helped in the creation of the legislative barn meeting series | ||||||
| 14 | in 1999, which is still in place today, offering an | ||||||
| 15 | opportunity to discuss the critical agricultural issues; he | ||||||
| 16 | also oversaw lobby days in Springfield and a legislative | ||||||
| 17 | luncheon in Will County each January; and | ||||||
| 18 | WHEREAS, Mark Schneidewind took part in numerous projects | ||||||
| 19 | as manager, including Operation Care Package, Wreaths Across | ||||||
| 20 | America, and used tire collections; and | ||||||
| 21 | WHEREAS, Mark Schneidewind believes the program that | ||||||
| |||||||
| |||||||
| 1 | helped the most to develop strong working relationships with | ||||||
| 2 | the media and elected officials involved the combine rides and | ||||||
| 3 | plantings, where over 1,000 elected officials have | ||||||
| 4 | participated since it was started in 1999; another special | ||||||
| 5 | project was the Ag Olympics for 4H Clubs sponsored by the Young | ||||||
| 6 | Farmers, and the 100th anniversary was a fantastic showing of | ||||||
| 7 | over 450 people in attendance; and | ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Mark Schneidewind has left his footprint on Will | ||||||
| 9 | County and developed relationships that will last; therefore, | ||||||
| 10 | be it | ||||||
| 11 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | ||||||
| 12 | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 13 | we congratulate Mark Schneidewind on his retirement as Will | ||||||
| 14 | County Farm Bureau Manager, and we wish him the best in all of | ||||||
| 15 | his future endeavours; and be it further | ||||||
| 16 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 17 | presented to Mark Schneidewind as a symbol of our respect and | ||||||
| 18 | esteem. | ||||||
