SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marlin L. Reynolds of Milan, who passed away on November 15, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds, the son of Leo and Freda (Miller) Reynolds, was born in Moline on August 16, 1944; he served in the Army National Guard; and

WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds worked for the Rock Island County Highway Department, retiring in 2017; he worked his family farm his entire life, and he was lovingly working on his farm at the time of his passing; and

WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds was a member of the Milan American Legion, the National Rifle Association (NRA), and the Rock Island County Farm Bureau, and he enjoyed collecting Allis-Chalmers tractors; and

WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds was known for being able to fix almost anything, and he was always willing to help his neighbors; and

WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Marlin Reynolds is survived by his sister, Margo White; his niece, Teresa L. (Steven) Bradley; his nephews, Todd L. (Crystal) White, Troy L. (Val) White, and Terry L. (Chelle) White; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, John, Sam, Josh, Kylee, Mason, Gavyn, Elethia, Brady, and Kristina; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Marlin L. Reynolds and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marlin Reynolds as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
