SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Thomas Lee Kennedy, who passed away on 
4November 17, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Thomas Kennedy was born to Charles and Mildred 
6(Athen) Kennedy in Peoria on February 28, 1939; he served in 
7the U.S. Navy from November 1957 to March 1962; he married 
8Betsy Hilton in Peoria on December 28, 1962; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Thomas Kennedy worked as a foreman for 
10Caterpillar, Inc., retiring in 1994; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Thomas Kennedy was preceded in death by his 
12parents and his wife; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Thomas Kennedy is survived by his family, Charles 
14Kennedy, Thomas Kennedy, Sean Kennedy, and Dixie Miller, and 
15many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
18Thomas Lee Kennedy and extend our sincere condolences to his 
19family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
20further

1    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
2presented to the family of Thomas Kennedy as an expression of 
3our deepest sympathy.
