| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Charles Earley, better |
| 4 | | known by his professional name "Chuck Collins", on the |
| 5 | | occasion of his retirement from WEEK-TV, effective October 15, |
| 6 | | 2025; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Throughout his 50-year tenure, Chuck Collins has |
| 8 | | demonstrated outstanding professionalism, leadership, and |
| 9 | | integrity, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues, |
| 10 | | clients, and the community alike while working across multiple |
| 11 | | facets of broadcasting and radio, including news, weather, |
| 12 | | sports, and sales; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Chuck Collins has made significant and lasting |
| 14 | | contributions to Central Illinois broadcasting, helping to |
| 15 | | shape its growth and success through vision, perseverance, and |
| 16 | | a tireless work ethic; and
|
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Chuck Collins' dedication to excellence and |
| 18 | | mentorship and his genuine care for the well-being of those |
| 19 | | around him have left an indelible mark and legacy that will |
| 20 | | endure long after his departure; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, It is both fitting and proper that we recognize |

| 1 | | and honor Chuck Collins for his remarkable career and wish him |
| 2 | | all the best in this new and well-deserved chapter of life; |
