| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Robert Lee "Bob" Martin of Havana, |
| 4 | | formerly of Easton and Rushville, who passed away on August |
| 5 | | 12, 2025; and |
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Bob Martin was born to Adam L. and Betty L. |
| 7 | | (Boggs) Martin Jr. in Canton on May 26, 1945; he attended |
| 8 | | Havana High School; he served in the United States Army from |
| 9 | | May 1967 to May 1969, where he was stationed at MacDill Air |
| 10 | | Force Base in Tampa, Florida; he married Donna Ward on July 3, |
| 11 | | 1969; and |
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Bob Martin began working for Caterpillar, Inc. on |
| 13 | | January 1970, and he retired on July 1, 1998; and |
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Bob Martin, along with his wife, enjoyed fishing, |
| 15 | | camping, and attending yard sales; he looked forward to |
| 16 | | gardening and mushroom hunting every year, and he occasionally |
| 17 | | enjoyed playing poker; he and his canine companion, Wheel, |
| 18 | | spent many hours fishing at Schuy-Rush Lake in Rushville and |
| 19 | | traveling the area in his pickup truck; and |
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Bob Martin was a member of Greenview Lodge #0653 |
| 21 | | A.F. & A.M. and a Mason for 38 years; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Bob Martin was preceded in death by his parents |
| 2 | | and one great-granddaughter; and |
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Bob Martin is survived by his wife of 56 years, |
| 4 | | Donna; his children, Angela (Taber) Tapscott, Camilla (Edward) |
| 5 | | Reimenschneider, and Scott (Julia) Martin; his sisters, Carrie |
| 6 | | (John) Pravdica and Jennifer (Ed) Edwards; his sister-in-law, |
| 7 | | Barb (the late Opie) Mustered; his brothers-in-law, Randy |
| 8 | | (Joy) Ward and Rick Ward; five grandchildren; four |
| 9 | | great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; |
| 10 | | therefore, be it |
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL |
| 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 13 | | Robert Lee "Bob" Martin and extend our sincere condolences to |
| 14 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 15 | | further |
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 17 | | presented to the family of Bob Martin as an expression of our |
| 18 | | deepest sympathy. |
