    AN ACT concerning education.
  
 
    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
represented in the General Assembly:
  



 
 
    Section 5. The School Code is amended  by adding Section 
27-23.13 as follows:
 
    (105 ILCS 5/27-23.13 new)
    Sec. 27-23.13. Hunting safety. A school district may offer 
its students a course on hunting safety as part of its 
curriculum during the school day or as part of an after-school 
program. The State Board of Education may prepare and make 
available to school boards resources on hunting safety that may 
be used as guidelines for the development of a course under 
this Section.
 
 
    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
