ADMINISTRATIVE CODE TITLE 77: PUBLIC HEALTH CHAPTER I: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH SUBCHAPTER c: HOSPITALS AND OUTPATIENT SERVICES CARE FACILITIES PART 250 HOSPITAL LICENSING REQUIREMENTS SECTION 250.295 NOTIFICATION AND POSTING REQUIREMENTS
Section 250.295 Notification and Posting Requirements
Hospitals shall comply with all hospital notification and posting requirements, by physical or electronic means, of the following State statutes:
a) Section 6.14c of the Hospital Licensing Act, related to the hospital's license, complaint procedures, Department or court orders, and other materials available for public inspection under Section 6.14d of the Act;
b) Section 10.10(c)(3) of the Hospital Licensing Act, related to the hospital's written staffing plan as required under the Hospital Report Card Act;
c) Section 11.5 of the Hospital Licensing Act, related to the statutory requirement for the hospital to provide uniform standards of obstetrical care regardless of a patient's source of payment or ability to pay for services, in the obstetrical admitting areas of the hospital;
d) Section 4-4 of the Illinois Health Finance Reform Act, related to established charges for services;
e) Section 15 of the Fair Patient Billing Act, related to patient financial assistance;
f) Section 3.4 of the Medical Patient Rights Act, related to the rights of women with regard to pregnancy and childbirth;
g) Section 5.2 of the Medical Patient Rights Act, related to a patient's right to not be discriminated against by the hospital due to their race, color, or national origin if these characteristics are unrelated to their diagnosis or treatment;
h) Section 5.1(a) of the Crime Victims Compensation Act, related to posters, provided by the Attorney General, regarding the existence of the Crime Victims Compensation Act and its provisions;
i) Sections 5 and 10 of the Human Trafficking Resource Center Notice Act, related to the requirements of the Human Trafficking Resource Center Notice Act as provided in the model notice;
j) Section 22 of the Abandoned Newborn Infant Protect Act, related to relinquishing a newborn infant;
k) Section 15(c) of the Health Care Violence Prevention Act, related to displaying a notice either by physical or electronic means stating that verbal aggression will not be tolerated, and physical assault will be reported to law enforcement; and
l) Section 3 of the Infant Eye Disease Act, related to posting copies of the Infant Eye Disease Act in conspicuous places in the hospital and in the hospital's obstetrical admitting areas.
