| 4 | | ""Independent agency" means: |
| 5 | | (1) for a unit of local government a law enforcement |
| 6 | | agency of another unit of local government other than the |
| 7 | | unit of local government of the law enforcement agency that |
| 8 | | employs the officer accused of sexual assault; or |
| 9 | | (2) for a State law enforcement agency a law |
| 10 | | enforcement agency of the county or unit of local |
| 11 | | government in which the alleged misconduct occurred.".
