| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to

| 3 | | learn of the death of Stacy Verne Dixon of Chicago; and
|
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon attended Eastern Illinois University
|
| 5 | | and married Jeffrey Dixon in 1979; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon's career was spent in public |
| 7 | | relations; she worked for AT&T for 15 years, and then in 1994, |
| 8 | | she founded her own firm, Dixon and Company; three years later, |
| 9 | | her husband joined her in the business; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon enjoyed socializing at the Beverly
|
| 11 | | Hills Tennis Club and spending time at her family's house in
|
| 12 | | Michigan City, Indiana, known as "Purple Haze"; she also
|
| 13 | | enjoyed reading and was a member of the Beverly Bookinistas and
|
| 14 | | the South Loop Book Club; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Stacy Dixon is survived by her husband, Jeffrey;
|
| 16 | | her daughters, Jessica Suzanne Heitman and Whitney Elizabeth
|
| 17 | | Buha; her sister, Suzanne Boyle; her brother, Scott Allers; and
|
| 18 | | a granddaughter; therefore, be it
|
| 19 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |
