| 4 | | Section 5. The State Commemorative Dates Act is amended by |
| 5 | | adding Section 9 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 9. Italian Heritage Month. The month of October of |
| 8 | | each year is designated as Italian Heritage Month to be |
| 9 | | observed throughout the State as a month to recognize the |
| 10 | | contributions and influence of Italians on American history, |
| 11 | | achievement, culture, and innovation.
