| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2981 on page 27, |
| 3 | | immediately below line 21, by inserting the following:

| 4 | | "Section 58. Disadvantaged business enterprise liaison. |
| 5 | | The Office of Business and Workforce Diversity established |
| 6 | | under Section 2705-593 of the Department of Transportation Law |
| 7 | | of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois shall retain a |
| 8 | | staff member or consultant to act as a liaison for outreach, |
| 9 | | monitoring, and compliance with the Department's Disadvantaged |
| 10 | | Business Enterprise Program consistent with all applicable |
| 11 | | federal rules governing the disadvantaged business enterprise |
| 12 | | process. The liaison shall also help determine attainable |
| 13 | | goals for projects using new project delivery procurement |
| 14 | | methods. |
| 15 | | The liaison shall publish a quarterly report regarding |
| 16 | | projects sourced through new procurement methods that includes |
| 17 | | utilization goals and utilization achieved.".
