AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 4006 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 4006 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:

 
 
4    "Section 5. The Autism Spectrum Disorders Reporting Act is 
5amended  by adding Section 32 as follows:
 
6    (410 ILCS 201/32 new)
7    Sec. 32. Reporting; access to applied behavior analysis. 
8No later than December 31st of each year, the Department of 
9Healthcare and Family Services shall submit a report to the 
10General Assembly regarding access to applied behavior analysis 
11therapy for people diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. 
12The report shall include, but is not limited to, the following 
13information:
14        (1) The number of Medicaid-enrolled providers in the 
15    State of Illinois certified to provide applied behavior 
16    analysis therapy services, in accordance with

1    administrative rules and Department of Healthcare and 
2    Family Services policy. 
3        (2) The number of Medicaid-enrolled children in 
4    Illinois with an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis and 
5    who receive applied behavior analysis therapy services.
6        (3) Information concerning the development and public 
7    distribution of low-literacy materials that will inform 
8    and educate parents of children with autism spectrum 
9    disorder who are enrolled in Medicaid and eligible to 
10    receive applied behavior analysis therapy treatment about 
11    this benefit and how to access it.".
