SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened 
3to learn of the death of Christopher L. "Chris" Neff of East 
4Peoria, who passed away on October 23, 2023; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Chris Neff was born to Michael Neff Sr. and Debby 
6Neff in Peoria on January 17, 1974; he graduated from Woodruff 
7High School in 1992; he married Tiffany Rainey in Groveland on 
8July 2, 2011; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Chris Neff worked in construction for United 
10Contractors Midwest and was a member of Laborers' Local Union 
11#165 for 27 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Chris Neff was an avid fan of the St. Louis 
13Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers; he loved dogs, 
14especially his own; he also enjoyed making everyone laugh and 
15smile, playing jokes on people, and sharing his positivity 
16everywhere he went; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Chris Neff was preceded in death by his daughter, 
18Elizabeth Reynolds; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Chris Neff is survived by his wife; his parents; 
20his brother, Michael (Kristi) Neff Jr.; his sister, Michelle

1(Russ) Neff-Fisher; his children, Christopher, Sadie, Skylar, 
2Aaliyah, Zay, Marcus, Matthew, Brent, Giovanna, Eddie, Josh, 
3Ron, Angie, and Amy; and eight grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
6Christopher L. "Chris" Neff and extend our sincere condolences 
7to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
8it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of Chris Neff as an expression of our 
11deepest sympathy.
