| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Mark Wyman of Oak Park, who passed | ||||||
| 4 | away on May 12, 2023 at the age of 70; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman was born to Douglas and Barbara Wyman | ||||||
| 6 | in Detroit, Michigan on November 16th, 1952; and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman attended Fenwick High School, where he | ||||||
| 8 | developed a passion for swimming; and | ||||||
| 9 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman moved to Boca Grande, Florida where, | ||||||
| 10 | in 1978, he and a friend acquired a hotel; and | ||||||
| 11 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman was a self-taught sailor who took many | ||||||
| 12 | sailing trips, and he was well known by many boat captains; and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman would often treat loved ones to | ||||||
| 14 | unforgettable sailing trips on Lake Michigan; and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman established OPRF Best Improvements, a | ||||||
| 16 | home remodeling business that has spanned three decades, | ||||||
| 17 | proudly claiming to have worked on half the homes in Oak Park; | ||||||
| 18 | and | ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman would dress as Santa Claus each | ||||||
| 2 | Christmas for his many nieces and nephews; and | ||||||
| 3 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman found solace impressing loved ones | ||||||
| 4 | with culinary masterpieces in his later years; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman, despite his health challenges, | ||||||
| 6 | embraced each day smiling with his partner, Sylvia Nieves; and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman leaves behind a legacy of laughter and | ||||||
| 8 | boundless love and made an enduring impact on all who knew him; | ||||||
| 9 | and | ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman will be missed by his family, many | ||||||
| 11 | friends and colleagues, and the Oak Park residents whom he | ||||||
| 12 | knew and loved; and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
| 14 | and | ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Mark Wyman is survived by his son, Dylan | ||||||
| 16 | Bellisle; his partner, Sylvia Nieves; and his siblings, David | ||||||
| 17 | (Danita), Larry (the late Laura), Jim (Joy), Mary (Bruce | ||||||
| 18 | Corson), Ann (Dale Amtower), Joe (Katy), John (Allyn), and | ||||||
| 19 | Gerald (Krista) Wyman; therefore, be it | ||||||

| 1 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | ||||||
| 2 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 3 | Mark Wyman and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | ||||||
| 4 | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further | ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 6 | presented to the family of Mark Wyman as an expression of our | ||||||
| 7 | deepest sympathy. | ||||||
