| AN ACT concerning local government.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 1-3-2a as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (65 ILCS 5/1-3-2a) (from Ch. 24, par. 1-3-2a)
|

| Sec. 1-3-2a.
|
| 8 |
| Any municipality is authorized to adopt by reference the
|
| 9 |
| the county
subdivision code of the county wherein such |
| 10 |
| municipality is situated,
without setting forth the provisions |
| 11 |
| of such code in full, provided that at
least 3 copies of such |
| 12 |
| code which is incorporated or adopted by reference
are filed in |
| 13 |
| the office of the clerk of the municipality at least 15 days
|
| 14 |
| prior to adoption of the ordinance which incorporates such code |
| 15 |
| by
reference and there kept available for public use, |
| 16 |
| inspection and
examination. |
