AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1905

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1905 as follows:

on page 36, line 8, after "Board." by inserting "Upon the 
4
effective date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General 
5
Assembly, the ex-officio non-voting member of the Health 
6
Facilities Planning Board representing the Department of 
7
Public Health as of April 1, 2009  shall no longer serve as an 
8
ex-officio member of the Health Facilities and Services Review 
9
Board.  The Director of Public Health shall serve as the 
10
Department's ex-officio member until such time that the 
11
Director designates a replacement ex-officio member to the 
12
Board."; and

on page 37, line 24, after "Board." by inserting "The Executive 
14
Secretary of the Health Facilities Planning Board, holding that 
15
position on April 1, 2009, is terminated as of the effective 
16
date of this amendatory Act of the 96th General Assembly, by

operation of law, and shall thereafter no longer hold that 
2
position or any other employment position with the Health 
3
Facilities and Services Review Board or any agency authorized 
4
to provide an ex-officio member to the Board or any position 
5
requiring nomination through the Special Nominating Panel.  The 
6
Board and the Agencies are directed to take any action 
7
necessary to effectuate this termination and prohibition from 
8
employment.".
