HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Wildcats, the 
4cheerleading squad of Queen of Martyrs School in Evergreen 
5Park, on winning their 3rd consecutive State championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Queen of Martyrs competitive cheerleading 
7squad captured the Illinois Cheerleading Coaches Association 
8State championship in Springfield on February 12, 2012; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The Wildcats bested 20 other teams in the Small 
10Junior High School Division; the young team features 3 
11eighth-graders, 4 seventh-graders, 7 sixth-graders, and 4 
12fifth-graders; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The squad's eighth-graders, Kaci Spallina, 
14Valerie Minnick, and Brenna Burke, have been members of all 3 
15State championship squads; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, In addition to winning the State championship, the 
17Wildcats also captured first-place finishes in 6 other 
18competitions; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, The Coach of the Wildcats is Tracy Rewers; squad 
20members are: Abby Arvesen, Annie Bojan, Maggie Bojan, Brenna

1Burke, Amanda Capuano, Katie Carey, Sydney DeHaan, Mia 
2DeMonica, Shannon Duffin, Maeve Lorimer, Mary McKenna, Valerie 
3Minnick, Abby Powell, Carly Reno, Ally Rewers, Kaci Spallina, 
4Molly Sullivan, and Claire Zupan; therefore, be it
  
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
6NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
7we congratulate the Wildcats of Queen of Martyrs School and 
8wish them continued success in the future; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the Wildcats cheerleading squad as a symbol of our 
11respect and esteem.
