 1                      AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 8
 2        AMENDMENT NO.     .  Amend House Bill 8, AS  AMENDED,  by
 3    inserting  immediately  below the last line of Section 20 the
 4    following:
 5        "Section    22.  Tests     to     determine     inherited
 6    characteristics  in  paternity  proceedings.  Nothing in this
 7    Act shall be construed to affect or restrict in any  way  the
 8    ordering  of  or  use  of  results from deoxyribonucleic acid
 9    (DNA)  testing  or  other  tests   to   determine   inherited
10    characteristics  by  the court in a judicial proceeding under
11    the Illinois  Parentage  Act  of  1984  or  by  the  Illinois
12    Department  of  Public  Aid  in  an  administrative paternity
13    proceeding under Article X of the Illinois  Public  Aid  Code
14    and rules promulgated under that Article.".
