Amends the Regional Transportation Authority Act to
require the Authority to allow bicycles on commuter rail
trains. Allows a reasonable fare increase to be charged to
those passengers with bicycles.

1 AN ACT to amend the Regional Transportation Authority Act
2 by adding Section 2.30.
3 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
4 represented in the General Assembly:
5 Section 5. The Regional Transportation Authority Act is
6 amended by adding Section 2.30 as follows:
7 (70 ILCS 3615/2.30 new)
8 Sec. 2.30. Bicycles on commuter rail trains. The
9 Regional Transportation Authority shall allow bicycles to be
10 transported on commuter rail trains. A reasonable fare
11 increase may be charged to those passengers with bicycles.
