          Appropriates $1 to the Department of Children and  Family
      Services  for  its ordinary and contingent expenses for FY98.
      Effective July 1, 1997.

 1        AN ACT making appropriations.
 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section  5.  The  sum of $1, or so much of that amount as
 5    may be  necessary,  is  appropriated  to  the  Department  of
 6    Children  and Family Services for its ordinary and contingent
 7    expenses for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1998.
 8        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  July
 9    1, 1997.
