          Appropriates $600,000 to the Department of  Commerce  and
      Community  Affairs  for  the Family and Community Development
      Demonstration Grant Program. Effective July 1, 1997.

 1        AN ACT making  an  appropriation  to  the  Department  of
 2    Commerce and Community Affairs.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.   The sum of $600,000, or so much  thereof  as
 6    may  be  necessary,  is  appropriated  to  the  Department of
 7    Commerce and Community Affairs for the Family  and  Community
 8    Development Demonstration Grant Program.
 9        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect July
10    1, 1997.
