      35 ILCS 200/18-65
          Amends the Property Tax Code.  Makes a  technical  change
      in the Section concerning restrictions on extensions.

 1        AN ACT to amend the Property Tax Code by changing Section
 2    18-65.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The Property Tax Code is amended by  changing
 6    Section 18-65 as follows:
 7        (35 ILCS 200/18-65)
 8        Sec.  18-65.  Restriction  on  extension.   Until  it has
 9    complied with the  notice  and  hearing  provisions  of  this
10    Article,  no  taxing  district  shall  levy  an  amount of ad
11    valorem tax that which is  more  than  105%  of  the  amount,
12    exclusive  of  election  costs, which has been extended or is
13    estimated will be extended, plus any  amount  abated  by  the
14    taxing  district  before  extension, upon the final aggregate
15    levy of the preceding year.
