          Appropriates  $6,000,000  to  the  Department  of   Human
      Services  for  new  residential  support services for persons
      with mental illness.  Effective July 1, 1997.

 1        AN ACT making an appropriation to the Department of Human
 2    Services.
 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section  5.  The amount of $6,000,000, or so much thereof
 6    as may be necessary, is appropriated  to  the  Department  of
 7    Human  Services  for  new  residential  support  services for
 8    persons with mental illness.
 9        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  July
10    1, 1997.
