      New Act
          Appropriates $135,400 to the  Department  of  Corrections
      for prisoner classes provided by the Katherine Dunham Centers
      for Arts and Humanities. Effective July 1, 1997.

 1        AN  ACT  to  make  an  appropriation to the Department of
 2    Corrections.
 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5. The sum of $135,400, or so much of that amount
 6    as  may  be  necessary,  is appropriated to the Department of
 7    Corrections for prisoner classes provided  by  the  Katherine
 8    Dunham Centers for Arts and Humanities.
 9        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect July
10    1, 1997.
