          Appropriates  $1  to  the  Department  of  Commerce   and
      Community  Affairs  for the establishment of a local board of
      directors in each locality of the Office of Urban Assistance.
      Effective July 1, 1997.

 1        AN ACT making  an  appropriation  to  the  Department  of
 2    Commerce and Community Affairs.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The sum of $1, or so much thereof as  may  be
 6    necessary,  is appropriated to the Department of Commerce and
 7    Community Affairs for the establishment of a local  board  of
 8    directors in each locality of the Office of Urban Assistance.
 9        Section  99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect July
10    1, 1997.
