          Appropriates $1  to  the  State  Board  of  Education  to
      implement  and  administer  the  program  created  under  the
      Systemic  Initiative  Demonstration  Act.   Effective July 1,
      1997.

 1        AN ACT making an appropriation  to  the  State  Board  of
 2    Education.
 3        Be  it  enacted  by  the People of the State of Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section 5.  The amount of $1, or so much thereof  as  may
 6    be necessary, is appropriated to the State Board of Education
 7    to  implement  and  administer  the program created under the
 8    Systemic Initiative Demonstration Act.
 9        Section 99.  Effective date. This Act takes  effect  July
10    1, 1997.
