          Appropriates $28 to the State Board of Education for  its
      ordinary  and  contingent  expenses  for  fiscal  year  1998.
      Effective July 1, 1997.

 1        AN  ACT  making  an  appropriation  to the State Board of
 2    Education.
 3        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 4    represented in the General Assembly:
 5        Section  5.   The amount of $28, or so much thereof as is
 6    necessary, is appropriated to the State  Board  of  Education
 7    for  its ordinary and contingent expenses for the fiscal year
 8    ending June 30, 1998.
 9        Section 99.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect  July
10    1, 1997.
