Makes appropriations or reappropriations or both to the
Illinois Health Care Cost Containment Council for fiscal year
1998. Effective July 1, 1997.

1 AN ACT making appropriations.
2 Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
4 Section 1. The following named amounts, or so much
5 thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated
6 for the objects and purposes hereinafter named, to meet the
7 ordinary and contingent expenses of the Illinois Health Care
8 Cost Containment Council:
9 Payable from the General Revenue Fund:
10 For Personal Services ........................ $ 529,300
11 For Employee Retirement Contributions
12 Paid by Employer ............................ 20,900
13 For State Contributions to the State
14 Employees' Retirement System ................ 26,700
15 For State Contributions to Social
16 Security .................................... 39,100
17 For Contractual Services ..................... 92,000
18 For Travel ................................... 13,600
19 For Commodities .............................. 9,000
20 For Printing ................................. 20,000
21 For Equipment ................................ 9,400
22 For Electronic Data Processing ............... 7,000
23 For Telecommunications Services .............. 41,000
24 For Hospital Reimbursements .................. 2,300
25 Total $810,300
26 Section 1a. The amount of $198,800, or so much thereof
27 as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue
28 Fund to the Illinois Health Care Cost Containment Council for
29 the collection of data on out-patient health care costs in
30 Illinois.

1 Section 2. The amount of $364,000, or so much of that
2 amount as may be necessary, is appropriated from the Illinois
3 Health Care Cost Containment Council Special Studies Fund to
4 the Illinois Health Care Cost Containment Council for Special
5 Studies pursuant to the Illinois Health Finance Reform Act.
6 Section 999. Effective date. This Act becomes effective
7 on July 1, 1997.
