          Makes appropriations or reappropriations or both  to  the
      Deaf  and  Hard  of  Hearing Commission for fiscal year 1998.
      Effective July 1, 1997.

 1        AN ACT making appropriations.
 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4        Section 1.  The amount of $300,000, or so much thereof as
 5    may  be  necessary,  is  appropriated to the Deaf and Hard of
 6    Hearing Commission from the General Revenue Fund for start-up
 7    expenses of the Commission.
 8        Section 999.  Effective date.  This Act takes effect July
 9    1, 1997.
