          Makes appropriations or reappropriations or both  to  the
      East  St.  Louis Financial Advisory Authority for fiscal year
      1998.  Effective July 1, 1997.

 1        AN ACT making appropriations.
 2        Be it enacted by the People of  the  State  of  Illinois,
 3    represented in the General Assembly:
 4                              ARTICLE 9
 5        Section 1.  The amount of $280,000, or so much thereof as
 6    may  be  necessary,  is appropriated from the General Revenue
 7    Fund to the East St. Louis Financial Advisory  Authority  for
 8    the  operating  expenses  of  the  City  of  East  St.  Louis
 9    Financial Advisory Authority.
10        Section  999.   Effective date.  This Act takes effect on
11    July 1, 1997.
